5 Nonprofits Rank in Top 15 Largest LA Private-Sector Employers

According to a recent report from the Los Angeles Business Journal, 5 nonprofit organizations rank in the top 15 largest Los Angeles private-sector employers ranked based on number of employees. The largest is Kaiser Permanente, which ranks not only as the top nonprofit private-sector employer, but the top non-public employer overall, with 36,508 employees in Los Angeles County. And while all 5 nonprofit organizations are either hospitals or universities, this poll is emblematic of the growth of the nonprofit sector and evidences the importance nonprofits play in employing Los Angeles County residents.
