LEARN THE LEGAL PITFALLS OF NON-PROFITS

July 26, 2012 Posted by The Law Firm for Non-Profits, P.C. in Board, Charitable Deductions, Director Duties, Donations, Fundraising, IRS, News, Volunteers

Do you serve on a non-profit board? Or do you count non-profits among your clients? Charitable non-profits operate in a world of laws applicable only to them.

The attorneys of the The Law Firm for Non-Profits will teach you how to spot potential legal pitfalls of non-profits before they erupt into disruptive legal problems or audits. This program, led by Arthur Rieman and Jessica Shofler, will be held August 1 at 8 a.m. in Los Angeles (near LA City College). It is sponsored by the CalCPA Nonprofit Committee. Everyone is welcome. Two hours of continuing education credit is available for accountants and attorneys.

Go here to learn more or to sign up. The location is the Braille Institute at Vermont and Melrose, just north of the 101. Come early for coffee and networking.

We look forward to seeing you there!
